Welcome to Wonderfully Vegetarian - a down-to-earth cooking experience based on my kitchen exploits.

Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet. -- Albert Einstein

You must have heard "Kalyana Samayal satham" song at some point. Well, may be not quite there, but I certainly hope the posts in this blog enrich your cooking experience and lets you approach cooking with a SMILE, rather than as a chore or a rules to follow regimen. Anything Vegetarian goes, ONLY criterion: The end product MUST taste good - to those you are serving.

சைடு டிஷ் மெயின் டிஷ் ஆகுமா? A hearty healthy (light)dinner

Ever felt kind of sort of full but hungry too? Well you don't want a full fledged dinner, but you want a dinner, without which you feel you can't go to bed!

It is one such day today. And a vegetable mix with liquid suits perfect.

Add a cobination of french beans, bell peppers, tomatoes, carrots, bell peppers, cauliflower and anything else you like and cut them into similar size pieces.

Take a sauce pan, add a spoon or less of oil, heat at high and saute with cut green chillies and ginger (onion and garlic if u like). Add carrot juice if you have, some milk and let boil in low setting. Add coriander leaves. You may also gring some peanuts, chillies, coacoanut powder together and add. What would be a side to rice or chappati now goes center stage!

When done, serve medium hot in a bowl with a sumptuous serving of Greek Yoghurt. No rice , no bread. For dessert serve chilled Strawberries or Mango.

Now you can go to bed satisfied.

Happy cooking!
