Welcome to Wonderfully Vegetarian - a down-to-earth cooking experience based on my kitchen exploits.

Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet. -- Albert Einstein

You must have heard "Kalyana Samayal satham" song at some point. Well, may be not quite there, but I certainly hope the posts in this blog enrich your cooking experience and lets you approach cooking with a SMILE, rather than as a chore or a rules to follow regimen. Anything Vegetarian goes, ONLY criterion: The end product MUST taste good - to those you are serving.

பில்லிங் சான்ட்விச்சா, இல்ல சான்ட்விச் பில்லிங்கா - I mean potato curry sandwich!

Yes! When you are in a hurry and the cooking is only partly done; for eg., you have finished making the potato curry, but your hubby and kids are ready for the outing and you have to go in a hurry! Don't worry!

Here is a great sandwich that will fill them up and you won't have to worry about food for another 3 hours atleast!

Take bread slices, and toast lightly.
Spread butter and whatever else you have:
For kids: jam, jelly, peanut butter, etc.,
Place the potato vegetable in between two slices, and put it in a sandwich maker or if you are the sandwich maker, press hard and cut into two.
Ready for kids.

For adults, spread butter on one and any one of these on the other slice: tomato thokku, tomato chutney, ginger pickle, urugai charu, mint chutney, coriander chutney, ... or home made thogayal.

Again place a good quantity of the potato curry, close and put it in a sandwich maker! In two minutes it will be ready.

two of that for adults and a drink and chips and they will feel so full they won't want any food for the next 2-3 hours!

Go and enjoy your outing now!

More sandwich recipes to follow!!!!!

Happy cooking!
